Modern Luxe Meets Tropical Artistry

This powder room, designed by Nuovo Ideas, is a celebration of bespoke craftsmanship and sophisticated design. Measured about 45 sq. ft., it is designed as an extension of the media/guest room in an apartment in Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

“The client’s brief was to design an iconic space that would draw awe from those who enter this space,” reminisces Jyoti Bhatia, Partner, Nuovo Ideas. The standout feature in this powder room is the custom glass mosaic wall, depicting a vivid tropical landscape. The use of layered tones and intricate detailing turns the wall into a living piece of art, ensuring no two views of the space are ever the same.

“The flooring complements the artistic narrative with its bold striped design, made from alternating slabs of marble and metal. The linear pattern adds a contemporary edge, creating a striking contrast to the organic motifs on the walls,” shares Bhatia.

A sleek, white pedestal sink anchors the room with its clean lines mirroring the room’s modern ethos. Paired with a wall-mounted gold faucet, it maintains a sense of understated elegance. The full-height, oval mirror adds a sense of drama and openness, perfectly framed in a matte gold finish for continuity. This design harmonises bold artistic elements with refined modern finishes, delivering a functional yet breathtaking space.
