Wb. Washroom Design Challenge – Students

Buoyed by the success of the Washroom Design Challenge for practicing architects and interior designers, Washrooms and Beyond, came up with an all India design contest for architecture and interior design students – the first ever in India to focus only on washroom.

The purpose of this contest is to tap into the minds of the students, brimming with innovative ideas, and give them a platform to express their design ideas in the area of washroom.

1st Edition

It was conceived as an all India washroom design competition for the students, the first ever in India to focus only on washroom.  Focused on Public Washrooms, the theme for the first edition was ‘Usability’. The zonal felicitations were held in 4 cities across India – Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata. And, the grand finale was held in Mumbai.

Winners: Ullas M. from R V College of Architecture, Bengaluru representing the South zone won the 1st prize. Ketki Apte and Akanksha Deolekar from Sir J.J. College of Architecture, Mumbai representing the west zone was adjudged second. Siddhant Vishwakarma from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh representing the west zone bagged the 3rd prize. ​
