This 150 sq. ft. bathroom is part of a 15,000 sq. ft. home in Hyderabad, and it was designed for the client’s son. “They wanted the bathroom to have a similar concept to the bedroom, pops of colour and black being the highlight. We wanted to experiment and not do a conventional bathroom for a young teen, and show the potential of the colour black as the perfect backdrop,” shares Mitali Aharam and Supriya Lolayekar, Partners, Crafted Spaces.
A continuous printed tile strip running from wall to floor gives the room the right amount of colour. The storage done in white Duco was also given an abstract shape of a tree following the abstract patterns from the highlighter tile. The niche above the WC has a beautiful splash of green paint, chosen from the tiles and used to display artefacts. The shower cubicle has a grid of SS black frames and frosted glass. The vanity counter is a console table from Rajasthan, converted to a counter.
