Simple yet Luxurious

The bathroom comes out as luxurious, functional and yet not too complex. “The USP of the bathroom was to create drama without going overboard with the elements. A combination of materials and elements was explored in fittings, fixtures and furniture. Each element was designed to create nuances of its own,” shares Sunit Chokshi, Chairman, Armaan Developers Pvt. Ltd.

It all began with the idea of ‘fluidity’ as the reflection of The Waterfall. “We wanted to delve into exploring the thought of luxury which would exude exclusivity, comfort & convenience which is inspired by nature. We wanted to infuse functionality with eye-catching whilst using top-of-line sanitary ware, brassware & natural Italian marble, to give each bathroom a luxury individual feel,” adds Choksi.

Design Statement

Timeless luxury, which to be true to its nature, requires spaces to be respected & necessitates working with the use of natural materials like marble and wood. Understated & subtle luxury is reflected in the material tonality, where the characters of these materials create drama rather than elements added in styling. To keep both the visual as well as the concept connect, the selection & application of materials are calculated in such a manner that it also focuses on creating & maintaining the connection throughout the project.

The Differentiators

Three rotatable mirrors against 2 sinks were designed over the vanity to maintain some playfulness, almost like throwing a retro spin to the bathroom. These mirrors bring in a necessary lightness to the space & also help conceal the switchboards keeping them out of sight yet easily accessible.

With reflective facets of cut glass, Kallos (Kohler) shines like a jewel, Part of the Artist Editions line of bath sinks, the spun-glass under-mount basin offers a distinctive architectural pattern reminiscent of fine crystal.

A Kohler collaboration with Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis) of France brings to Script (Kohler) a series of one-of-a-kind decorative crystal knobs, each handcrafted by its gifted artisans. Each an individual work of art, the two-dimensional colour is emphasized through the hand-cutting process, the exposed layers culminating in a faceted effect like that of a fine-cut jewel.

A rain shower head provides that magical feeling of rinsing off under a fresh cascade of water while making your bathroom look more luxurious. “The master bathroom at The Waterfall incorporates Loure, a 24”x24” multifunction rain shower panel that allows you to immerse yourself in water shaped by pure indulgence. This state-of-the-art flush mount rain shower panel is the ultimate in showering experience: with features like Hydro-massage spray, Rain curtain, Cascade, Body jets & more,” shares Choksi.

To bring natural light into the bathroom, a full-length fluted glass “pop-out” window was strategically planned, allowing not just light but the natural flow of wind into the bathroom as well. The fluted element was yet once again chosen not just for its look, but also because it affords privacy despite being glass.

Choksi states, “Convenience is one of the pillars of luxury, here at The Waterfall bathrooms even the smallest details merge convenience & luxury. Intricately crafted out of the Statuario are the niches with several shelves with a glow of warm white light enveloping each enclosure – a design feature that’s well thought of as a part of the entire ensemble rather than being an afterthought.”
