Simple Yet Elegant
Designed with a brief to make it simple yet elegant, the focus of this washroom is functionality and simplicity. “The Design is inclined more towards the elegant part of the concept and even though it still displays simplicity and very basic earthy tones. Functionality is the focus here but not forgetting the simple elegant looks that are given to it in a very subtle manner,” shares Santosh Wakedar, Design Director, Studio SW.
The washbasin is right in front of the door when one opens it. And, the water closet is on the left side of the basin when one sees it from the front, as one looks right, the shower area is on the right of the washbasin behind the door.
The concept revolves around Modern Glam along with earthy tones. Not only this space but the entire house has these earthy tones all around along with accent colours to bring out some elements. The use of shiny metallic materials such as gold along with neutral colours such as white and black make the metallic material shine brighter.
The colour scheme of the space is more towards the beige and brown shades having earthy tones while having the small gold sanitary fittings along with white washbasin and water closet to have a stand out element. Glass is used to make sure the space has a transparent element to it and also the mirrors for creating a sense of space.
“The eye never should settle in one place and thus having such a variety of the textures, colours and materials around you is very tricky to let the eye settle. The idea was to create this simple luxurious space with simple earthy tones and materials but fill it with accent colours and metallic materials to make specific things stand out and look like the highlight,” shares Wadekar.
