Compact Luxury Washroom

By introducing a dual unit shower cum steam, the owner couple could use it together. The unit from DURAVIT was specially imported from Germany and was the first one in the country. The USP of the unit is that it has an inbuilt system of cleaning, filtering and reusing the water.

Design brief

On the first floor of the house, the client needed a dedicated recreational zone comprising a bar and a pool and to complement that a luxurious washroom was required.

The biggest challenge was to achieve an opulent design in a compact and functional manner.

The Washroom

While designing the recreational area on the first floor, a big toilet along with other amenities like a bar and the swimming pool were designed. The washroom had to epitomise leisure and had to be luxurious at the same time.

At the entrance, a big lobby and the grand mirror on the opposite wall are inviting. The dual basin on a big platform adds to the richness of the space. Towards the east is the salient feature that is dual unit steam cum shower is enclosed with a glass façade.

Light-coloured Italian marble (Statuario) is used on the walls to give a soothing effect. The grandness of the space is enhanced by the set colour palette. Dark coloured Italian marble (Black Portoro) is used to create contrast.
